About

"Ark" - real name unknown - was a joke cartoonist best known for his daily single-column cartoon panel "Almost Human", which began in the London Evening News in the 1950s and ran for at least a decade.

The size of a pocket cartoon, Ark's "Almost Human" featured various animals, and was similar in theme to Will Spencer's "Animal Crackers" in the News Chronicle and Daily Mail.
