The BCA has a library of some 2,000 books on cartoons and cartoonists (both British and foreign), anthologies and reference books. It has a small collection of books on comics and a complete run of Giles annuals--many from his own archive.
Taking cartoon representation further back there are runs of bound periodicals called Fun and another called Judy. These are in the style of Punch and start in 1866 and end in 1907, offering a useful alternative to the views from Punch.
While we hope to offer you a direct search of our holdings, the majority of our books are included in the main catalogue of the Templeman Library.
