Embedded text or transcript | Two goals in one match at Highbury!!!!! Now you would hardly believe that would you? It is true. And what is more 50,000 people will swear that they saw 22 players go off the field Red in the face about it. Oh I say. D'ye know that we've scored a goal each Yes! Isn't it dreadful The first 20 minutes were spent in making the spectators thoroughly uncomfortable. One side kept putting the other side - offside. Now! Now! Now! You're offside! So I am. So I am. After that they got a goal apiece and both sides retired conscious of having done their worst. We got a goal - so there! And we got a goal - so there!! Mind you there would have been another goal scored but there was a "black-leg" present. His name was Mackie. He deliberately took up a position in the Arsenal goal-mouth which the Arsenal goal-keeper clearly resented but all the same he Butted out a shot that the Arsenal goal-keeper had no intention of dealing with. But after all - who are we to criticise? As one director remarked - "both teams worked very hard". Of course they did. And if all of them "set about" Jack Dempsey simultaneously they might beat him. What I really want it - a "close-up" of the man who carries the bell to the Arsenal ground. I would like to see him Dress for the match. You will take your bell sir? Yes James and put my rattle in the car too. |
