FO0001-39: "Rufus wants to keep a Pet, but his stern uncle will not allow this. Attempts to keep tiddlers in the bath end in disaster a dog he harbours has pups. His uncle sends him to visit Natural History Museum; there, Rufus dreams that he meets Stone Age men with their strange pet, a Flook, which can speak 7 languages and change shape at will. Rufus befriends him and the uncle's attacks on Flook are thwarted by Flook's transformation to elephant size and his efforts to tow a car end in disaster." (original cataloguing)
