News: April 30: Western Europe: ... The Air Ministry announced that between April 23-29, when "reprisal" night raids were made on English cathedral cities, the enemy had used 150 planes (25 against Exeter, 80 against Bath, 25 against Norwich and 20 against York) and dropped an estimated 225 tons of bombs losing at least 17 planes, equivalent to one for every 13 tons of bombs dropped. ...
