Immediate Payment of the 10,000,000 pounds Loan
to Czechoslovakia. - The following statement was issued from Downing Street on October 15 after
the arrival in London of a Czechoslovak financial mission: "The Czechoslovak financial mission,
headed by Dr Pospisil, and including Dr. Peroutka, representing the National Bank of
Czechoslovakia, have presented to H.M. Government a memorandum summarising the purposes for which
the Czechoslovak Government request financial assitance. ... Meanwhile H.M. Government are
requesting the Bank of England to put forthwith at the disposal of the National Bank of
Czechoslovakia for the account of the Czechoslovak Government of 10,000,000 pounds. This advance
will be applied to meet the more immediate requirements of the situation including in particular
