Question:
What is the JISC Licence?
Answer:
JISC is the Joint Information Systems Committee, a government-funded body which has sponsored a number of important BCA projects. JISC is committed to making the outcome of its funded projects available to all UK schools, colleges, and universities, and any institution which holds a licence from JISC is free to download high-resolution images of many cartoons on the BCA catalogue, including all of Carl Giles’ work. There is no charge for a JISC Licence, and if your institution obtains one you can use these high-resolution images for learning and teaching. For details of this scheme visit the JISC Collections website at www.jisc-collections.ac.uk
