Cartoons
General use
The cartoons, as well as all other images on our website, are under copyright so if you want to save them on a disk, print them out, publish them, put them on your website or reproduce them in any other way, you must first get permission from the copyright holder. If you would like to reproduce an image from the catalogue then please contact the copyright holder, whose information you will find with the cartoons, for permission and then contact us for a copy of the image.
Educational use
If you wish to use cartoons for educational use it may be possible to do so without contacting the copyright holder; it depends on the cartoon as well as your affiliations. The BCAD project has allowed us to enter into agreements with copyright holders to allow some cartoons to be used for non-commercial, educational purposes. This covers all the Carl Giles material plus the work of many other cartoonists. Provided your institution has entered into an agreement with us, and you agree to the specific terms and conditions yourself, you will be authorised to use cartoons for educational purposes and will be able to obtain a good quality image. When viewing a cartoon there is a "Use this image" link which will provide more specific information.
Reproducible images
The images on this website are not suitable for reproduction, nor are you allowed to use any of our images without our permission. While permission from the copyright holder gives you the "right" to use the image, it does not provide the image itself. We can supply good quality images, suitable for reproduction, for most cartoons on this website. Please refer to charges for current price list.
If you would like to reproduce an image from the catalogue then please contact us for advice.
