Additional studio correspondence
- Reference Number: CG/3/1/3
This later correspondence had several sequences but it is not clear why. They may have represented files kept at Giles' home and his studio and it is known that some of these files were temporary before the correspondence in them was filed 'properly'. The sequences may also have been a consequence of how the contents of Giles' home and studio were collected together after his death. The dates of the different sequences do not match and there is overlap, and correspondence from the same people on the same subject appears in different sequences.
As a result of this it was decided to merge these sequences together to form this series of additional studio correspondence.
This series may also include material which was originally filed in the 'later' studio correspondence sequence and was kept in now empty files (suggesting that the letters from these files may have become separated for various reasons).
