Book 'A Policeman's Lot...'
Description
Anthology of stories, cartoons and jokes about policemen with Giles cartoon on the cover. Shows Grandma outside Buckingham Palace picking flowers and being told by a policeman "Good morning, Madam, aren't we the lady that got done for sending Her Majesty six British Railway spoons for her Silver Wedding?" (Daily Express - 20 April 1976). Book sold in aid of the Police Dependants' Trust.
Also includes reproduction of Giles cartoons inside: Daily Express (31 August 1976) - "You say it all stems from your unhappy childhood. Your Mummy wouldn't let you have a teddy bear, so at precisely one minute after kick-off you decided to boot a policeman in the face"; Sunday Express (8 August 1976) - "Relax, they're mine."; Daily Express (11 November 1976) - "There we are, boys - PORNOKIT!'".
